With support from ADLER, the Spanish artist group Boa Mistura created a superlative work of art in Vienna

"Living life constructs your soul" - this message is sent by urban artists from Madrid across the world. With bright colours by ADLER, they turned the site fence around the new Weltmuseum Wien, which will be opened in autumn, into a work of art nearly 100 metres long.

COLOURFUL UNIVERSE

"A dream trip inspired by the cultural legacy from different corners of the world," the four artists say about their work, which is inspired by exhibits from the Weltmuseum collection. The closer you approach the immense work, the further a colourful universe opens up: the colours of an Indian feather headdress, the ornaments of Central African craftsmanship, Hebrew characters and Arabic fabric patterns, the forms of Asian artefacts and those from the Maori culture have been handled by Boa Mistura with much attention to detail.

"With heart and soul, the artists have provided quite a few "wow" moments among passers-by and employees," says Weltmuseum director Steven Engelsman, and Juan Jaume Fernández from Boa Mistura adds: "It was a great experience to work here in this environment and with the excellent colours from ADLER. The Weltmuseum Wien is a real inspiration for us with its mission to connect cultures and people."
